Hosted by Max Ford
Max Ford has been volunteering at VOWR since October, 2022. A native of Mount Pearl, Max is a former English teacher who has worked in St. John’s, Clarenville and overseas in South Korea. He is a songwriter, a musician, and an entertainer who has a passion for all styles of music.
Ford is the host of the Monday edition of VOWR’s “Evenings At 800” program. During the program, you will hear an intriguing mix of Folk, Country, Soul, Jazz and Light Rock. You will hear familiar, well loved music and you will be introduced to acoustic songs that did not receive the attention they deserved on mainstream radio.
During his “Evening’s At 800” program, be sure to check out his segment Facts With Max. In this segment, Ford provides a short biography of an influential artist/musician followed with a selection of songs that helped define their musical journey.
